We use about 1/10th the amount of preservatives that commercial companies use and we know that everything you rub into your skin is absorbed into your body. Read the backs of your current skincare products, if it sounds more like a laboratory instead of a garden maybe now is a good time to try something more natural.
Did you know that these natural plant ingredients come in different grades and qualities? Smudge searches the globe for the most beautiful butters, oils and essential scents. Our apricot and coconut oils are extra virgin; they even retain the natural scent of the plant because it has not been refined out of them. This means that all the essential fatty acids and Vitamin A (anti-oxidant, anti-aging) remains to nourish your skin. No chemicals needed just pure goodness from nature.
We love lanolin and include it in our lotions and the body butter, lanolin comes from happy sheep in New Zealand where the oil is extracted from the wool and the sheep skip off back to the countryside for another day of munching grass. Lanolin is the closest oil to our own natural oils, why would we use anything else? Lanolin is used in hospitals for diabetic skincare because nothing else works as well, and we think so too.
